Karin Kihlberg & Reuben Henry  Formations

Karin Kihlberg and Reuben Henry's practice centers around concepts concerning the documentary and the fictive. Their practice is not bound to any specific medium but engages instead in discourses that respond to situations and locations where the medium forms an integral part.

Formations is a series of photographic compositions of cloud formations with books which have been propelled into the air. Each book is caught in a moment of mid-flight or falling, its pages open and catching the wind, thrown out of its comfort zone while the clouds exist in their natural habitat. The title of each image is a juxtaposition of the name of the cloud formation combined with the title of the book.
