Amy Eshoo
Marie-France &
Patricia Martin - Susan Morris
Jacqueline Pennell
Using photography, video and mirror
installations, the five artists generate a dialogue concerned with the ritual aspect of
our everyday life.
Susan Morriss video portrays a woman at the hairdresser having her hair endlessly dressed and redressed in search of perfection. | Amy Eshoos photograph of an empty chair presented with origami birds scattered on the floor evokes the repetitive and sometimes absurd quality of quotidian gestures. |
With the use of mirrors Jacqueline Pennell forces the viewers to animate her installations by eliminating the barrier between the exhibit and the on-looker. | Marie-France & Patricia Martin explore the set patterns in seduction and love with "staged" photographs. |
